Backyard Beekeeping Classes

Become a beekeeper with confidence, skill, and a compassionate heart.


We teach responsible beekeeping for an urban environment, adhering to best management practices for the bees, beekeepers, and general public. All are welcome!

  • Bee Anatomy
  • Hive Placement
  • Protective Clothing
  • Beekeeping Tools
  • and more!


1. Beginning Beekeeping - (6 sessions)

If you're interested in becoming a backyard beekeeper or you are a newer beekeeper this will be the class for you!


Dates/Time: Six Wednesday evenings, beginning  March 23rd, 6pm to 8pm PDT


Where: Online. Zoom details will be emailed to registraints.


Cost: $40 members/$60 non-members

2. Beyond Beginning Beekeeping - (6 sessions)

If you've been beekeeping for a while you know there's always more to know! This class will take you to the next level and give you more confidence in taking care of your bees.


Dates: Look for this class in late summer to early fall.

Registration will open when the schedule is announced.


Where: Online. Zoom details will be emailed to registraints.


Cost: $40 members/$60 non-members
